Cheap Umrah Packages from the UK – All-Inclusive and ATOL Protected
Alhuda Travel offers all-inclusive Umrah packages from the UK starting from just £570 per person. Every package includes return flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, your Umrah visa and all transfers. You book once with our UK team, and we handle every detail of your trip, so you can give your full attention to your worship.
We have been arranging Umrah packages for British Muslims for more than 15 years. In that time we have learned what pilgrims really worry about: Will the hotel be far from the Haram? Are there hidden costs? Is my money safe? This page answers all of that in plain words, so you can choose your package with confidence.
Compare 3 Star, 4 Star and 5 Star Umrah Packages from the UK
Flights, visa and transfers are included in every package. What really changes from one package to another is the hotel: how comfortable it is and how far you walk to the Haram five times a day. This table puts our three hotel levels side by side.
| Package | Nights Available | Price (per person) | Typical Walk in Makkah | Best Suited To |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 Star Umrah Packages | 7, 10 & 14 | £570 – £750 | 10–20 minutes, or hotel shuttle | Young, fit pilgrims and tight budgets |
| 4 Star Umrah Packages | 5, 7 & 14 | £570 – £860 | 5–10 minutes | Couples, families and first-timers |
| 5 Star Umrah Packages | 7, 12 & 14 | £785 – £1,070 | Next to the Haram, 1–5 minutes | Elderly parents and anyone who wants less walking |
Walking times are a general guide and depend on the exact hotel. Prices are starting prices per person and can change with dates and availability. We always confirm your hotel name and distance before you pay.
3 Star Umrah Packages – The Budget-Friendly Choice
Our 7 night 3 star Umrah package starts from £570, with 10 nights from £699 and 14 nights from £750. You stay in clean, simple hotels, usually a little further from the Haram or linked by a shuttle bus. For healthy adults who mainly need a bed, a shower and a reliable route to the masjid, this is the best value way to perform Umrah.
4 Star Umrah Packages – The Best Balance of Price and Comfort
Our 4 star packages are the ones we recommend most to families. The 5 night 4 star Umrah package from £570 matches our lowest price and is ideal if you can only take a short break from work. The 7 night option starts from £695 and 14 nights from £860. Hotels are closer, rooms are more comfortable and breakfast is often available as an add-on.
5 Star Umrah Packages – Closest to the Haram
Our 7 night 5 star Umrah package starts from £785, with 12 nights from £950 and 14 nights from £1,070. Most 5 star hotels in Makkah sit right on the Haram's doorstep, many of them in the Clock Tower complex. If you are taking elderly parents, or you want to pray every salah inside Masjid al-Haram without getting exhausted, this is the package to choose.
Umrah Hotels Near the Haram – Does Star Rating Matter?
Many people think a 5 star hotel is always the closest to the Haram. This is mostly true in Makkah, but not always. Some 4 star hotels are very close, and a few 5 star hotels are a short drive away.
In Madinah, most hotels are close to Masjid an-Nabawi, whatever their star rating. So you can choose a cheaper hotel in Madinah and still walk to the masjid easily.
Our simple tip: do not choose a hotel only by its stars. Ask for the hotel name and how far it is from the Haram. We give you both before you book.
Affordable Umrah Packages Without Hidden Costs
Affordable does not mean cheap in quality. Even our lowest-priced package includes your flights, a comfortable hotel, your visa and transfers, with no hidden extras added later. Here is how we keep our prices low:
- We book in volume. Buying flights and hotel rooms in larger numbers gets us better rates, and we pass the saving on to you.
- We give you a choice of flights. A one-stop flight via Istanbul, Doha or Dubai can cost much less than a direct flight.
- We match the hotel to your needs. If you are young and fit, we will not push you into a 5 star hotel you do not need.
- We help you share rooms. Triple and quad rooms bring the price per person down for families and friends.
What we never cut: ATOL protection, an honest quote, and a real person you can call before, during and after your trip.
What's Included in Our All-Inclusive Umrah Packages?
Every Alhuda Travel Umrah package includes:
- Return flights from your chosen UK airport to Jeddah or Madinah
- Umrah visa applied for and handled by our team
- Hotel in Makkah in your chosen star rating
- Hotel in Madinah in your chosen star rating
- Airport transfers on arrival and departure
- Transport between Makkah and Madinah

What Is Not Included?
We would rather tell you now than surprise you later. Please plan separately for:
- Travel insurance (strongly recommended)
- The Meningitis ACWY vaccination, available at most UK pharmacies
- Meals, unless you add a breakfast or full-board plan
- Ziyarat tours, private transfers or the Haramain high-speed train, unless added
- Extra baggage above your airline allowance
- Personal spending money, gifts and a local SIM card
All of these can be added to your package. Just ask, and we will include the exact cost in your quote.
How Many Nights in Makkah and Madinah?
Most pilgrims split their stay between the two holy cities. Makkah is where you perform your Umrah, and Madinah is where you visit the Prophet's Mosque ﷺ. Here is how our package lengths are usually divided:
| Package Length | Usual Split | Who It Suits |
|---|---|---|
| 5 Nights | 3 Makkah + 2 Madinah | Short break, working professionals |
| 7 Nights | 4 Makkah + 3 Madinah | First Umrah, our most popular length |
| 10 Nights | 5 Makkah + 5 Madinah | A calmer pace with time for Ziyarat |
| 12 Nights | 6 Makkah + 6 Madinah | More time for worship in both cities |
| 14 Nights | 7 Makkah + 7 Madinah | Elderly pilgrims and a relaxed, full experience |
The split can be changed. Tell us if you would like more nights in Makkah or Madinah.
How Much Does Umrah Cost from the UK?
With Alhuda Travel, Umrah from the UK costs from £570 per person for our 7 night 3 star or 5 night 4 star package. Our 3 star packages cost £570 to £750, our 4 star packages £570 to £860, and our 5 star packages £785 to £1,070 per person. Every one of these prices includes flights, hotels, visa and transfers.
Five things decide your final price:
- Season: Ramadan, the December holidays and Easter are the most expensive times to travel.
- Hotel: The nearer it is to the Haram, the more it costs.
- Nights: Every extra night adds hotel cost.
- Flight type: Direct flights save time; one-stop flights save money.
- Room type: Sharing a triple or quad room lowers the price per person.
Advice from our team: If you have a fixed budget, tell us the number first. It is often easier to find a great package by moving your dates by a week than by downgrading your hotel.
Umrah Flights from the UK
We are an IATA accredited travel agency, which means we can book flights directly with airlines. We arrange Umrah flights from all major UK airports, including London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
You can fly direct with Saudia from London, Birmingham and Manchester. Or, to save money, you can take a one-stop flight with Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates or Etihad.
- Flight time: A direct flight to Jeddah takes about 6 to 7 hours.
- Time difference: Saudi Arabia is 3 hours ahead of the UK in winter and 2 hours ahead in summer.
- Luggage: Most airlines let you take 23kg to 46kg of luggage. We will tell you your exact allowance when we send your ticket.
Should You Fly to Jeddah or Madinah First?
Both work well, and the choice affects when you enter Ihram. If you fly into Jeddah and go to Makkah first, you must be in Ihram before the plane passes the Miqat, so most pilgrims change at home or at the airport. If you fly into Madinah first, you can rest, visit Masjid an-Nabawi and then put on Ihram at the Miqat of Dhul Hulayfah on the way to Makkah. Many first-timers and families find Madinah-first easier.
Your Umrah Visa and Nusuk, Handled for You
Your Umrah visa is included in every package, and our team handles the application. All we need is a passport valid for at least six months and a clear passport-style photo. Visas are usually issued within a few working days. See our Hajj and Umrah visa guide for more details.
Saudi Arabia now manages Umrah through its official Nusuk platform. Your Umrah permit is arranged through Nusuk, and you can also use the Nusuk app to book your visit to the Rawdah in Madinah, which needs a separate appointment. We guide you through this step by step.
A few important points for UK pilgrims:
- Vaccination: Saudi Arabia requires the Meningitis ACWY vaccine for Umrah pilgrims, taken at least 10 days before you travel.
- Women without a mahram: Under current Saudi rules, women aged 18 and over can perform Umrah without a mahram. Scholars hold different views on this, so please also seek advice from your local scholar.
- Tourist eVisa: British passport holders can also perform Umrah on a Saudi tourist eVisa outside the Hajj period, as long as they book their Umrah permit on Nusuk.
Saudi visa rules change from time to time. We always check the latest requirements for your travel dates before applying.
Family Umrah Packages from the UK
Taking your family for Umrah is a special blessing, and it needs a little extra planning. For family Umrah packages, we arrange triple and quad rooms so you stay together, choose flight times that work for children, and pick hotels close to the Haram so younger and older family members are not worn out.
Travelling with elderly parents? Wheelchairs are available at the Haram, and electric carts can be hired for Tawaf and Sa'i. A 5 star hotel near the Haram or a longer 10 or 14 night stay lets them perform Umrah at a gentle pace. Tell us their needs and we will plan around them.
Group Umrah Packages for Masjids and Communities
Going for Umrah together is a special experience. You pray together, learn together and support each other. We arrange group Umrah packages for groups of 10, 20, 50 or more pilgrims, and we take care of everything from start to end.
Who Can Book a Group Umrah Package?
Any group travelling together can book with us, including:
- Masjids and Islamic centres taking their community for Umrah
- Large families travelling with parents, children and relatives
- Friends and colleagues who want to go together
- Madrasas and Islamic study groups
What Is Included in Group Umrah Packages?
Your whole group travels together, and you do not have to plan anything yourself:
- Same flights for the whole group from your nearest UK airport
- Same hotels in Makkah and Madinah, so everyone stays close to each other
- Umrah visas for every member of the group
- Private coach for airport transfers and travel between Makkah and Madinah
- Ziyarat tours for the whole group, on request
Better Prices for Bigger Groups
The bigger your group, the better the price we can usually get for flights and hotels. Group members can also share triple and quad rooms to lower the cost per person. The final price depends on your travel dates and how many people are going.
One Contact for the Group Leader
Organising a group can be hard work. That is why the group leader gets one contact person at Alhuda Travel. We collect passports, apply for visas, share updates and answer questions, so the group leader does not have to deal with everything alone.
How to Book a Group Umrah
- 1. Tell us about your group: How many people, your travel dates and your preferred UK airport.
- 2. Get your group quote: We send you a clear price with hotel names and flight details.
- 3. Confirm and collect details: Pay the deposit, then share passport details for each pilgrim.
- 4. Travel together: We send all tickets, visas and hotel details before you fly.

Add a Halal Holiday to Your Umrah
Many flights from the UK to Saudi Arabia connect through Dubai, Istanbul or Doha, so you can add a few relaxing nights there on the way home, often for little extra on the airfare.
Perform your Umrah first with full focus on worship, then enjoy a Muslim-friendly break with your family: halal food everywhere, mosques nearby and prayer times respected. It is all arranged in one ATOL-protected booking by the same UK team. See our halal holiday and tour packages or ask us to combine one with your Umrah.
Best Time for Umrah from the UK – Month by Month
There is no wrong time to perform Umrah, but the month you choose changes the price, the weather and how busy the Haram is. Use this guide to pick what matters most to you.
| Months | Weather in Makkah | Price Level | Good For |
|---|---|---|---|
| October – November | Warm, cooling down | Low to medium | First-timers and families wanting good value |
| December | Pleasant | High | Families using the school Christmas break |
| January – February | Mild and comfortable | Low to medium | Elderly pilgrims who prefer cooler days |
| Ramadan | Varies by year | Highest | The greatest reward; book very early |
| Easter | Warm | High | Families using the spring school break |
| Summer (June – August) | Very hot | Lowest | Budget travellers who can handle the heat |
How Early Should You Book Umrah?
For Ramadan and December, book 6 to 9 months ahead, because the closest hotels sell out first. For quieter months, 8 to 12 weeks is usually enough. If you are planning further ahead, see our Umrah packages 2026.
How to Choose the Best Umrah Package – 6 Questions to Ask Any Agent
Every year we hear from pilgrims who booked elsewhere and were let down. Before you pay any travel agent, including us, ask these questions:
- 1. What is your ATOL number? Then check it yourself on the UK Civil Aviation Authority website. Ours is 74904.
- 2. What are the exact hotel names? "Or similar" is not good enough. You should know where you are staying.
- 3. How far is the hotel from the Haram, in minutes?
- 4. Is the price final? Ask what is included and what is not, in writing.
- 5. Will I get an ATOL certificate? If you do not receive one, your booking is not ATOL protected.
- 6. Who do I call if something goes wrong in Saudi Arabia? Make sure there is a real person and number.
How to Book Your Umrah Package with Alhuda Travel
- 1. Get in touch: Call us, message us on WhatsApp or fill in the quote form with your dates, airport, number of travellers and budget.
- 2. Receive your quote: We send you the hotel names, flight details and a clear price, usually the same day.
- 3. Secure your booking: Pay a deposit to confirm. Instalment options are available on request.
- 4. Send your documents: Share your passport and photo, and we apply for your Umrah visa.
- 5. Travel with peace of mind: Before departure you receive your e-tickets, hotel vouchers, visa and ATOL certificate, plus a contact number for help during your trip.
Your First Umrah: A Simple Guide
If this is your first Umrah, it is normal to feel nervous. The rites are simpler than many people expect. Umrah has four main steps:
- Ihram: Make your intention and enter the state of Ihram before crossing the Miqat.
- Tawaf: Walk around the Kaaba seven times, starting from the Black Stone.
- Sa'i: Walk seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah.
- Halq or Taqsir: Men shave or shorten their hair; women cut a small amount of hair.
Most pilgrims complete their Umrah in around two to four hours, depending on crowds. Our team shares a simple Umrah guide with every booking.
Ziyarat in Makkah and Madinah
Many pilgrims like to visit the historic places of Islam during their stay. Popular Ziyarat sites include Jabal al-Nour and the Cave of Hira, Mount Arafat, Mina and Muzdalifah in Makkah, and Masjid Quba, Mount Uhud and Masjid al-Qiblatayn in Madinah. We can add guided Ziyarat tours to any package.
Simple Umrah Packing Checklist
- Passport, visa copy, ATOL certificate and hotel vouchers
- Two sets of Ihram for men; comfortable, modest clothing for women
- Comfortable sandals or shoes for long walks
- Unscented toiletries for use while in Ihram
- A small bag for your shoes in the masjid, a reusable water bottle and any regular medicines
